Award-winning holiday design turns “Burr” into creative storytelling for prestigious law firm.
Burr & Forman LLP’s annual holiday communication strategy incorporates a distinctive branding element—creative wordplay referencing the firm’s name. For this particular holiday season, we developed a sophisticated concept featuring Santa’s reindeer expressing “burr” upon returning from their Christmas Eve journey. The innovative accordion-fold design reveals a carefully crafted narrative progression: as recipients unfold the card, they discover the reindeer gradually warming, assisted by elves providing blankets and warm foot soaks, with the sequential “burrs” culminating in a single “Burr”—elegantly tying back to the firm’s identity. This concept was professionally executed through a collaborative process with a skilled illustrator who visualized the scene, which was then integrated into a refined layout design. The exceptional quality and creativity of this holiday communication earned prestigious recognition with a Pro-Comm Award. Additionally, we developed complementary themed cards for the firm, each strategically designed to convey various organizational announcements during the holiday period.
